Discovery and development of precious metals - New Brunswick & Manitoba
ganja50, i "d say from ore"s found and with only 10% of Turgeon claims tested Puma requires alot of drilling in-order to prove up the size of deposit..News releases like,.
Rimouski, September 2, 2009 – Puma Exploration (PUM-TSXV) has started drilling on the Turgeon
property in New Brunswick with the goal of performing a resource calculation compliant with
Standard 43-101.
The objective of the first of five holes is to characterize metal zoning and better define the
metallogenic model.....
F08-01 consists primarily of veins and veinlets (stockwork) of
massive chalcopyrite located in a chloritized basalt, while drillhole F08-03 intersected 40 metres of
massive sulphide, mainly composed of pyrite, sphalerite, chalcopyrite, and magnetite. Moreover, the
host rocks observed in drillholes F08-02 and F08-04 consist mainly of basalt and andesite, confirming
that this is indeed a volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposit..........
The main goals of this drill campaign were to confirm the geologic model of the deposit, i.e., to
characterize the metal zoning of the VMS (volcanogenic massive sulphide type) model, to define the
nature of the VMS deposit in terms of various geologic parameters (structure, alteration, and
lithology), and to confirm the continuity of the mineralization present. ,reading these releases we can see Puma has a VMS deposit rich in Polymetalic ores demanding a drill program to size up the deposit...Traps7
