It's not an East vs West issue. I was born, raised and educated in Eastern Ontario.

Bombardier has cost me both as a taxpayer and an investor. I don't like companies that constantly come to the government with their hand held palm up! Unfortunately the global aircraft manufacturing industry is sick with this problem. As for the supposed "loan" to SAS, it was essentially a bribe. AKA "Buy our planes, not Embraer's."

And I know that numerous comanies have received government money, but Bombardier is the Canadian poster child for corporate welfare.

That being said, they make the World's best waterbomber - the amazing CL-415. I have even been fortunate enough to fly in one of these planes!

As for the Heritage Fund? More proof that western Conservatives can be as fiscally stupid as eastern Liberals - Federal or Provincial.
