thanks Goose. I had seen this clip via the Horizon's website, and while it makes some sense of some of the difference... I think much of the disparity between the 9x and -40x return must be attributable to something else. FWIW, I bought the HOU a few days back when the HUD dropped below it's support level (easier to read the HUD in reverse than the HOU which has turned into a little flat red line on my Chartsmart program). This is both a specualtive investment and a hedge, as rising oil prices will transfer into greater costs on my farm. If oil stays down (just filled my deisel tank for spring seeding today) I will save more than what I invested in HOU, and if it goes up, I should profit more than what the extra cost from the fuel truck is. Also bought YLO.UN today. Their revenues are still growing, tho I expect some shrinkage soon. The distribution is over 20% and even if they cut the dist by half (they keep saying they aren't and don't have to due to strong revenues), that will more than offset the interest I have to pay to borrow to buy them. Hopefully it holds true.

Portee... your comment made me think of the advice the worried mother told her son going off to fly fighters in WWII. Afraid of heights and speed, she advised him to fly low an sslow... the perfect way to get shot down!

Cheers!
