I have bought and sold and bought AAPL (Apple), which has done very well for me. I haven't looked at the shape of the chart at all (wonder what you would say about it). However, I understand the technology and Vista is a disaster. They are gaining market share, they have something fundamentally good, and the iphone is an incredible cash cow. If the economdy survives, they'll do well.

I trust you won't mind a bit if we're on different sides of Citigroup. 95% of subprime losses are yet to come. I am effectively shorting Citogroup via the SKF exchange traded (short) fund. But I'm shorting not just them, but all the big financials (without incurring any short costs). I think the financials will bounce back a bit in the short term, and then get hit again later. But I could be wrong!

I have IAU (gold), just to keep me honest. Either I believe in it or I don't.
