There IS, however, a fire restriction in effect in Ontario right now (no open fires allowed). That does not yet preclude, at this point, working in the bush. The Ministry does have the authority to suspend certain types of 'high risk' work, if it deems it necessary.

I doubt drilling is considered 'high risk' for starting fires, but it's conceivable. In my tree planting days, we survived quite a few restricted fire zones. Not having a camp fire at night was miserable. There was one time, however, when smoking was prohibited and all hell broke loose! Ouch. If I recall, we were also pulled off the job for a day or two at the worst of it.

Anyway, rain is soon to fall. Drill baby drill!
