Average volume is something that is subject to interpretation. As the "institutional participation" increases the volume would normally drop somewhat. Institutions are usually long term players thus are not part of the "day trade" group that would provide volume.
In that context 900 K must not be viewed in comparison to the total shares outstanding but more from the perspective of the available "float".
It seems that the world may be awakening to our "Prodigeous Bear" and that interest if fueled by an indication of steadily increasing resource could well see a reasonable increment in our share price.
I accept that we here are still of two camps (1) Those that are still looking to recoup losses that were sustained during the higher share price valuations of days gone by and (2) Those that were fortunate enough to manage a share price level that sees them well in the green and looking perhaps to make a grab for that golden ring.
