It is quiet here, for what reason ?
Re your economic world take: Europe does not see it the way North Americans see it. This despite all the interchange of economic MBA programs and such.
In Europe they like to think it over, be right, for the future and if so hardships will have to be borne.
Here we want instant action, why tomorrow ? Why not today ?
Who is right ? the europeans will come around and solve this, while we are still suffering from the selfinflicted housing crisis in the US.
The US politicians must love this, deflecting most of the blame to a Euro zone problem. They must love Greece, who is about a whimper in the great scheme of souvereign debt trading.
As Mr President said: Europe has to solve his own problem. He, or better, the former administration ( forgot his name ) started this.
Young financial wizzards had to produce more and more on a daily basis to rake in their bonuses, they overlooked the damage to the rest of us and were producing thin air.
And without proper supervision.
