Creating shareholder wealth by advancing gold projects through the exploration and mine development cycle.
When we set up the milling operation I vote that we invest in a Cone crusher right off the bat..
And it is the first stage of the crush operation..then the SAG mill and then the ball finishing mill.
A used cone crusher could be under $200 K but at an increased production of 20,000 tons per day..ESPECIALLY if ,like most open pit mining operation we start at the higher ,richer gold bearing ore..
At .5 oz/ton that is 10,000 ounces a day..pay offin no time.
Plus no shut down later to retool crushing line.
Do it right off the bat.
(Brian..are you listening..??)
I have watched these cone mills in operation and they are gravity fed and you dump the ore in the top and gravity feeds the material down where the vibrating..or moving cone crushes the rock between the sides of the opening and the cone..big pieces are crushed into little pieces w very quickly and fall onto a conveyor belt where they move to the next crush stage.
Here is a description..
with animation..

Cone Crusher is widely applied in metallurgical, construction, road building, chemical and phosphoric industry. It is suitable for hard and mid-hard rocks and ores, such as iron ores, copper ores, limestone, quartz, granite, gritstone, etc. Type of the crushing cavity is decided by the application of the ores. Standard type is for PYZ (secondary crush); middle type is for PYD (tertiary crush); short-head type is for primary and secondary crush.
Features and Benefits:
1. high productivity; high quality. 2. less machine stop time. 3. easy maintenance and low cost. 4. unique crushing ability in primary, secondary and tertiary crushing
Structure & operation principles
The crusher consist of frame, transmission device, hollow eccentric shaft, bowl-shaped bearing, crushing Cone, springs and hydraulic pressure station for adjusting discharge opening. During operation, the motor drives the eccentric shaft shell to turn around through a horizontal axle and a pair of bevel gear. The axle of crushing Cone swings with the force of eccentric shaft shell so that the surface of the crushing wall is close to the roll mortar wall from time to time. In this way, the ores and rocks will be pressed and crooked and crushed.
