Tau, Portee, I couldn't disagree more. While that may certainly be the strategy of some, and perhaps even many, it betrays what is worst in humanity - looking after my own needs, interests, wants, desires, etc., and to h*ll with everyone else.

Historically, investing has been a way to participate in ventures designed to build up and improve the community for the benefit of all. It allowed those with means to use their resources with a view to helping to create a better society.

Personally, I do not invest in a company which does harm to others, and it is why I've always appreciated the attempts made by Kodiak and other miners to work with local communities and to build them up.

If that limits my potential gains, then so be it.
