Mr. Michael Phelps reports

KODIAK EXPLORATION ANNOUNCES BOARD CHANGES

Terrence E. King has stepped down as chief executive officer and as a director of Kodiak Exploration Ltd. The board of directors and management of Kodiak wish to thank Mr. King for his years of service to the company.

Kodiak Exploration is pleased to announce the appointment of George Salamis to its board of directors. Mr. Salamis has previously held senior management positions with well-established mining companies, most notably Placer Dome Inc. and Cameco Corp., in addition to the formation and management of several successful junior mining companies listed in Europe and North America. Mr. Salamis has over 20 years experience directing the exploration, development and mining operations of multiple gold, base metal and coal projects and mines in many different regions of the world. Mr. Salamis was recently appointed president and CEO of Edgewater Resources following a successful career as president of Rusoro Mining. Mr. Salamis holds a degree in geology from the Universite de Montreal -- Ecole Polytechnique.

Michael Phelps, chairman of the board of Kodiak Exploration, comments: "The appointment of Mr. Salamis to the board of directors of Kodiak continues the ongoing evolution of our company that began with the appointment of Brian Maher as president of the company last July. With the recent additions of Tony Wood as CFO, Darren Lindsay as VP exploration and Tom Barber to the board of directors, Kodiak is strengthening its management team and board of directors as we enter an important phase in the company's transition from pure explorer into an integrated exploration and mine development company."
