I recognize that explanation and that reasoning..

But it would be a hell of a lot better if we could track the actual sells buys..etc

I would like to see something like this..

Broker...TD...client....123456XXX....buys...10,000

Broker...Anony..Client...23456XXX...buys 100,000

Broker..CIBC...Client...56785XXX...60,000 Sells

Now we wouldn't be able to tell who was 56785XXX,client confidentially..

but we would soon be able to recognize funds..individual retail..not by name but by clien ##..

That type of info would be useful..

Legal..??Ethical..??

No Idea ,but more useful than just the house numbers..
