kinghorn greenhorn you wrote..........I wondered why they didn't drill from shore. The GM vein appears to run through the mid point of the lake perpendicular to its long axis. Maybe the azimuth and dip requirements for the drill hole would not hit the target zone properly. Especially for shallow drilling.

Actually Brian stated at a presentation he did at PDAC last March that they couldn't drill last winter because the ice did not reach the required thickness. However, he indicated they would be conducting angled drilling from shore during the summer 2009 (or fall?). I am not sure why they did not follow up on this plan. Maybe it could of been because of the extra cost that this would have involved.
