Message: Vancouver Show: KXL Presentation

Hey northvalue, thanks for asking. A huge long day at the Cambridge mining show in Vancouver, and the next four days at the mining shows for me too including the Core Shack etc.

New KXL corporate presentation dated January 18, 2010. Should be up on the web or if not, then tomorrow probably. Someone will figure out exactly what's different.

Brian is giving two presentations, one today super-quick 8 minutes, and tomorrow Monday one hour. I was in the presentation room (quick rotation - every speaker got 8 minutes to talk) for a couple hours and heard lots of companies, and after Brian spoke, the buzz around me was people saying "wow, that was professional". The others tended to ramble - Brian hit all his points bang bang bang.

Also visited the booth and had long conversations with Keith Metcalfe P. Geo. and Michael Petterson from IR. Bahman Bayat P. Geoph. is supposed to show up. Explorationguy has done a lot of work with ideas on the uranium drilling and Keith and I discussed that - I have a hunch we'll hear from ex-guy - fantastic having him help us all out. Keith was great to talk to and is very much a gold guy as well. I didn't realize that he was the one who introduced the Mines Point prospect to the company.

I see the company as completely rejuvenated. I've had moments of grief including today about what was once a $4 or $5 company (ouch ouch ouch), but I've completely set that aside and now see it as a fantastic situation - a great explorer with a raft of really strong propects and real management (not something to take for granted) that's selling at the bargain price of 50-60 cents and worth many times more. There are about six key prospects I can see now that could catapault the stock about $1 in a heartbeat. I like the odds.

Darren Lindsay, the new VP exploration, has apparently done an intense and whirlwind review of all the projects and is bringing heightened energy and inspiration to it. We will likely see plenty of news in the next few months (we've wished that before, but I'm quite convinced as of today). Drilling at multiple properties, all starting in a week to 10 days. The uranium holes take about a week to drill each and the targets are excellent.

Keith is very excited about the uranium indeed. As he put it, just the cores KXL has now, if you exchanged them for the core boxes surrounding Cigar Lake or MacArthur or other mega-finds, nobody would notice the difference - identical setup. Companies could search years before getting this close. It appears to be a goof that anyone ever let go of this property.

The property was surveyed using the latest moving-loop UTEM and 3-axes helicopter EM, giving a fantastic view into the ground. There are no guarantees about what uranium is in the ground but it is looking very good.

Milestone and West Geraldton are likely to turn into major plays. Hercules is getting understood - where the iron has been taken away, the gold is being found. Great that there's a 43-101 and continued growth there to make the market happy, but I'm as excited or more about all the new prospects and that's where my focus is going at present. I think we will be hearing more about Mines Point and other high-quality plays not yet getting press, as well.

At the booth a couple families were having their kids whistle in and take all the booty e.g. flash sticks and pens, and stuff them into large sacks, without even glancing at the companies in any way - just a grab. So if you see a bunch of Kodiak stuff at the "night market" in Richmond you'll know how they got there. You'll be happy to know that when one of the little buggers rudely demanded the whole bag of Kodiak flash sticks stashed behind us, after swiping Kodiak's entire table of loot into his bag, I gave him the bum's rush - like all of us, I am out there to protect the property the shareholders have paid for. Little rotter. If I could translate their names the parents would probably be Fagan and Mrs. Fagan.

Plenty of other interesting talks; I am exhausted and have way too much to do. I have probably annoyed enough people letting them know I'm also working on helping out TRC (for free, just as a shareholder) so that took up tons of time too. Lots and lots of companies with gold activity all over the Tintina Belt, especially in the Yukon. Also rare earths, lithium and that. No Agoracom booth. Because of the Olympics the main conference center in Vancouver isn't available and the whole thing is shoehorned into the Hyatt and the Fairmont (i.e. Hotel Vancouver), but even though that crowds things a lot in itself, still it's way more active than last year - there is a real buzz - the whole mining scene seems to be picking up. I saw more dots on maps in the BG gold camp around Kodiak in the various booths so I'm trying to find out who's busy there - it's starting to get some attention and respect.

Brian will probably have a lot more to say tomorrow in a longer talk tomorrow. By the way, Michael Petterson in IR assiduously reads our posts, even though he's typically not legally in a position to comment on them, so hello and thanks to him. Had a great talk with him today.

My apologies if I sound positive, but that's the way I feel about it.

Great reading everyone's posts - northvalue thanks for asking - til soon / cedar
