Brian stated previously that Kodiak is well funded through 2010 and doesn't have to raise money even though it's available. So what could have changed to convince Kodiak to raise money now and not wait for the higher share price that could accompany the release of the resource estimate and keep existing shareholders happy? If you believe that management has a strategy and plan, which I do, then the most obvious possibility is a new oppportunity has presented itself and they intend to seize it. I doubt it exists in the Hercules area as it would be expensive to acquire the land/company in an area with a lot of activity. But Milestone is a pretty quiet area apart fom Kodiak's recent effort so nows the time to make some moves. I'm still searching around but the offsetting landowners don't appear to be active. Melkior has land but they appear to be focused on their west Timmins prospects. A numbered company from Alberta also holds some land and they are probably waiting for an offer. I think it was red911 who asked Kodiak IR for more info/maps on Milestone and I second the motion. This is just speculation on one possible motive for the financing and I'm prepared to wait to see how it unfolds.
