This might belong in the Off Topic forum, but forgive. 2 questions on insider trading for anyone who may know.
#1. If someone WAS an insider, but retired or was fired, do their trades still fall under the rules?
#2. Does an "insider" need to report trades involving companies that may be future partners or acquisitions? Would the CEO's of Goldcorp and Barrick need to report buying the shares of KXL, Sage etc?
I googled insider trading but didn't get satisfaction. If anyone knows a good site that outlines the rules in non-legalese, that would be a great help too.
Cheers!
