43-101 is simply the standard followed while gathering data and writing such reports... like ISO 900x for the mining industry. There are many different reports an exploration company can produce that can have 43-101 standard attached to them... resource estimate is just one of them... technical assessment is another... and I believe feasibility studies also can be NI 43-101...
