I think if it breaks quite significantly above 1000, then there's no holding it back - the 1000 psychological barrier could be smashed.

There is a huge significance (only in our minds) to $1000, above or below. But there's not much special about the diff between 1150 and 1250.

E.g. great that Hong Kong asked for 100% of their gold to be delivered physically to Hong Kong. Delivery might begin to mean "delivery", and not just receiving some more pieces of paper in the mail.
