This PG project has the local tongues waggling. It is right beside the Trans Canada Highway and relatively close to numerous homes.

Local banter is talking about re-routing the highway, buying up Dan's General Store and the homes in the townsite. Not sure how much of this is just wild speculation, but the locals know that if the project proceeds, it will be an open pit. Lots of space will be required. The pit plan for the EP Zone does encroach on the highway and is about 500 metres from the nearest homes. Interestingly, the OPP just built their brand new police station right in this area.

Also, part of an old mine has collapsed - there is a large, fenced off hole 100 metres south of the Highway. Not sure if this was the old MacLeod-Cockshutt workings, or part of the old Hardrock mine. Either way, PG's EP and Tenacity zones encompass both of these historic mines.

As Portee says, We Are Next. But a lot of local talk has shifted from KXL to PG. Hopefully Hercules will get the tongues talking about KXL again!
