Hope the new iron is a Mercedes convertible. They are really neat. As long as this stock is headed north I am one happy camper even though it is still cold and raining here on the frozen tundra.

I bought my first Mercedes back in '64...Friend of my dads had a couple of shepards and one day he was vacuuming out his car and left it wide open to air out and the dogs got to it and tore a big chunk out ofthe back seat..It was a '58 180D..

He was do pis*ed he slammed the doors and went and bought a new one...So he had this thing at home and he and my dad were having a drink at the club and I was a young lad in the RCAF in Chatham,and I was looking for transportationand boought it from him..a little duct tape and I was good to go..Nice little car..74 MPH top end..down hill with a tail wind..

Paid $100.00 for it back in '64 and drove it for two years and sold it for $500.00 ..

But the CO was ticked when I drove on the base and he was driving a Ford,,,.

But couldn't do much..It was a good car but will stick with my Toyotas..

And KXL is going to buy my next one..Allready bought the 2005 Corolla out in my driveway now a few years ago..
