Don't forget that the type of geology within which the Musselwhite gold mine derives the gold is banded iron formation, which Kodiak also encountered in the exploration of it's properties in the BGGC.

Thinking out loud, it could be that they've got a bit more insight into the regional backdrop that created these conditions, and they're capitalizing on that knowledge now elsewhere.
