Are those numbers not all the trades done through their brokerage? If I bought 10,000 through RBC, does that not add to their numbers? Is RBC actually an owner? If so, is that through a mutual fund?

I think this is the case and if so, we read too much into numbers like this, though it could mean that one very astute or informed investor could be loading up.
