I don't think the " sell in May and go away " will be strong this year.

People who are holding kxl now are mostly losing money. At this point it is still only a paper loss so I don't think people will sell at this point. All stocks are down and investors who cashed out earlier will be looking for an opportunity to buy back when they see light at the end of the economic tunnel. It's all about the economy overall, news and not wanting to miss the coming upswing. Rico
