Again I ran into a news release that was informative and gave insight into gold recovery methods and testing...best way to get the gold out of the rock once it is mined..
the bulk sampleing of what we had ..is is part of the expense involved in mining the stuff and even the exploring end of it if you want top buck for your property ..
Here is a NR from St. Elias Mines..
(I used to own it and sold at a nice profit)

Previous testing completed on mineralised material from the Jales-Gralheira Deposit indicates that best
recovery method for gold and silver was considered to be bulk sulphide floatation followed by leaching of
the floatation concentrate. Past test work completed by RTZ (Rio Tinto Zinc) and COGEMA
(Compagnie Générale des Matières Nucléaires of France) indicated that bulk sulphide floatation recovers
between 90.0% and 97% of the gold in the mineralised material. Recovery of gold by leaching from
sulphide concentrates has been reported as being between 93.8% to 96.1% by COGEMA and in excess of
60% by RTZ.
