Kodiak’s Kodiak s new Energy Division comprises Paul Metcalfe, Paul Ogryzlo and Rod Koch. They came to Kodiak from senior positions at Cameco, Areva and Denison. Keith Metcalfe, B.Sc. Adv., P.Eng, P. Geo., Chief Exploration Geologist, Energy Division Keith has several decades of experience in the geology, exploration models and uranium occurrences in the Athabasca Basin. From 1975 to 1985 he worked for several senior uranium explorers including Eldorado Nuclear Ltd., Amok Ltd., and Getty Mines Limited on extensive exploration and development projects throughout the three distinct uranium camps within the Athabasca Basin: Uranium City, the Carswell Structure
Cluff Lake Mine, and the world class uraniumproducing
Wollaston Trend. From 1985 to present he gained additional exploration experience with Minatco (Areva), Cameco, Imperial Metals and Denison/Midwest JV, on uranium projects located within the Wollaston Trend.
Paul S. Ogryzlo, B.Sc., P.Geo, Special Consultant, Energy Division
Paul has more than 35 years of international exploration experience in base metals, gold, uranium, and industrial
minerals. Paul worked for Cameco Corporation from 1979–2005, becoming director of exploration with responsibility for
Cameco’s international uranium exploration programs, including Canada and Australia. At Cameco he directed the
uranium exploration teams through a period of expansion and acquisition, and left the corporation well positioned for
future discoveries. He has a history of successfully negotiating joint venture agreements with major competitors, and
played a significant role in Cameco’s acquisition of Power Resources Inc., the largest uranium producer in the USA, that
established Cameco’s exploration presence in the USA.
Rodney R. Koch, B.Sc., P.Geo., Special Consultant, Energy Division
Rodney has 35 years of exploration experience, of base metals, gold and uranium with major companies, including 30
years have been in uranium. He was a member of the discovery teams for UG’s Kiggavik (Lone Gull) and AREVA’s Shea
Creek Deposits. He is a member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, the European Association of Exploration
Geophysicists, and the Association of Professional Engineers and GeoScientists of Saskatchewan. From 1986 to 2008
Rodney was Chief Geophysicist for AREVA Resources Canada Inc. in Saskatoon.
These gentlemen have a proven track record of discovery and more than a century of collective experience in the
Athabasca Basin, which accounts for one third of global uranium production! They chose to join Kodiak because of its
prime exploration assets, and what they believe to be a very rare opportunity to make a significant new uranium
discovery on Kodiak’s West Millenium property, located in the heart of the prime Key Lake
McArthur River uranium
trend.
