If the trend continues virtual all machinery related activity will cease. From my time in the high Arctic you learn that everything gets brittle and breakdowns start occurring too frequently to carry on.
Its not like this is essential stuff like maintaining hospital generators etc. Give the crews a break. Get them out for a while and send them back in when things are more reasonable.
