Nice to have you back, and hope for better times. However, the news from the area players are all the same, sure there is gold but pretty low grade and narrow veins. It is almost too consistent.
We have all these high tech gadgets and find all sort of anomalities, but can't find the big one. It is almost like when I bought a fish finder, saw lots of 'fish' but caught no more. I wonder how the old guys found those deposits that actually turned into economic mines. There must be something us electronized prospectors should learn. Maybe for a month they should ban blackberries, internet and cell phones.
A friend of mine who is a geologist told me when he was in South America, usually the local geologists never left their SUV's, they always sent their helpers up in the hills to collect rock samples. As a true Canadian geologist he was shocked since what he enjoyed was actually the field work. I just hope that the geologists of Kodiak are true Canadian type geologists who enjoy and all the fun being out in the wild. Maybe they should post a mug shot of each on their website
