HR08-297. 1,027m. Assays pending.
We weren't told HR08-297 intersected 'gold-bearing quartz vein' as has been the norm thus far BUT we were told hole "has intersected the GM". NBF report says "a recent hole has intersected the system at a down hole depth of over 1.0 km". We are also told "quartz plus sulphide veining, quartz-carbonate stockwork and sheared gabbro over an eight-metre interval" and reminder that this hole was drilled to test previous "75.3 grams per tonne (g/t) (2.20 ounces per ton) gold over 0.4 metre at a downhole depth of 231 metres" hit in same high-grade shoot.
IMO KXL did not have to include such detailed commentary (complete see below) about HR08-297 in last NR on Dec. 3. Heck they didn't even have to mention it was completed. Would KXL mention this hole and include such detailed descriptors if they thought the assays from this hole would be insignificant? IMO would seem safe to assume this deep hole will contain gold. Only question is how much and over what width? Was KXL giving us a clue by including "8m interval" in last NR? Maybe giving us more clues by referencing "75.3 g/t"? No idea.
What do you think? Comments?

"drill hole HR08-297 has intersected the Golden Mile at a downhole depth of over one kilometre"
"Assays are pending for recently completed hole HR08-297, however, a visual inspection of the drill core shows quartz plus sulphide veining, quartz-carbonate stockwork and sheared gabbro over an eight-metre interval at a downhole depth of 1,027 metres; the system remains wide open, clearly demonstrating the robust nature of the Golden Mile vein system at depth. Hole HR08-297 was drilled as a deep test of one of the high-grade shoots previously identified in Area 51 of the Central Golden Mile. Wedging off this hole, producing additional deep intercepts, is planned. Higher in this gold mineralized shoot, drill hole HR08-192 intersected 75.3 grams per tonne (g/t) (2.20 ounces per ton) gold over 0.4 metre at a downhole depth of 231 metres. Multiple drill holes in both the western shoot and the eastern shoot in Area 51 suggest widespread high-grade gold mineralization in those shoots. Continuing exploratory drilling along strike and to depth continues to intersect mineralized quartz vein and significantly expand the geometry of the Golden Mile system."
