I think you hit it on the head when you said that gold is worth what people think it is worth. When you think about it there are very few practical uses for the stuff but who is practical??? The whole thing about the commodities market is there IS the option to take delivery of the REAL commodity, it is just not in most people's interest to do so. When people say theat gold is really worth X amount cuz that's what it costs them to buy a wafer at their bank... I think they miss the point. I sell grain by the truck load (600 bushels) or the semi load (1600 bu) usually. But if youa nd a thousand of your friends want to buy some 10 lb bags of clean wheat a bag or two a week, you aren't getting it for th eprice I sell a semi load! I believe a Comex contract is 100 ounces (about 80,000 bucks) probably delivered to a couple big cities. You make that 100 ounces into wafers, guarantee purity, provide security, then retail it... You won't be paying the futures price. I think there is a chance that spot bullion prices could be different from the futures price, but one would have to be prepared to pony up the 80 G's to find that out and profit from it.

What do you think of our good ship KXL, my wise friend? I can't access the Sedar report yet, but some seem very down in the mouth. Personally, I thought $10M a yr was a bit frugal. I expected it to last maybe 2 yrs. Sounds like Solomon Pillars was bit of a bust.

Intersted to hear your take.

Hey, could be worse, you could be the Gov Gen and have to be the hottest chick to ever have to settle a const crisis between a bunch of geeks.
