It is sometimes hard to listen to the "experts".
- Too many experts with various opinions - who is right?
- Some will have a slant to get you to buy a product - theirs!
- And some are not practicing what they preach.
Recently on BNN, the lovely Amanda Lang was interviewing a guest. She took an obvious shot at a previous guest. Now bear with me, I can not remember the names of either guest.
Amanda asked the following question...
"So when Bob Smith of XYZ Investments said last week on this show that investors should be buying, he was probably selling?"
The gentleman was obviously uncomfortable answering the question, so he did his best attempt at political dodge-ball. The lovely Amanda followed up with the exact same question.
This time the gentleman answered with a simple "Yes".
So who do we as investors believe? Our best bet is to listen to them all, ask questions and try to form our own opinion.
A friend told me about KXL over a year ago (his in-laws are from Geraldton) so I started looking at them. I finally bought some in January at $3. I have bought in 6 more times since then. As most of you will note, I have been in the RED since then, but why worry?
On the basis of my own research, I like this company. No matter what the market does, no matter what some "suit" from Toronto has to say, I have chosen to invest in KXL. Only I have to live with my decision. I'm not worried - too much.
And one last thing. The stupid Leafs just beat the SENS!
Take care KXLers
