why is US$ up and gold down ??

What is going on; I think we all know many reasons why the opposite should happen.

Personally, I would like to ask you all if you have any good reason for why this is happening?

I bought Barrick about 2 weeks ago in my RRSP and wonder if it is time to go full in now with more gold shares or is this crazy trend going to continue?
