Agree with you jello and dmasatercard as well. Deep drilling is very expensive, and drains cash a lot faster. An empty hole on this wold be nasty, would be good to prove you have an economic mine through shallow drilling which could generate cash flow at a latter time. ....

More study and anslysis before the deep holes are done, so to ensure better success of hitting.
