There is one small problem on counting on gold, over cash money.

Cash: the problem with cash is the "fiat" currency problem, i.e. printing-press problem. We know that. M3 money supply is no longer published, but it's zooming up, and the net result is that your extra hard work gets transferred to the account of a fat cat or illuminati or whoever the top guys are. The average person is less well off in real terms than 25 years ago.

Gold/silver: unfortunately it is dawning on me that the problem with gold and silver is the same nowadays. Yes, the supply of physical metal is limited. But investment banks, not even needing the Fed, can and do print imaginary paper certificates for gold and silver, and then lease them out for a profit. So once again it's paper money.

These investment banks can be thought of as a long-term virus. It's not in their interest to kill the gold market, but the gold price will never reflect reality anymore because the price is set by printing-press paper certificates - stuff made out of thin air.

The world is so intertwined that even though there is every reason for a money crash, I don't see it happening. Your extra efforts and your gold savings, like with a low-level virus, just get sapped off to the rich guys.

How does that affect my take on KXL? Not at all. The exploration stocks are not very well correlated with the price of gold. The price of gold will not collapse to super-cheap nor will it zoom, unless a blip suits the central banks and investment banks. For a gold explorer, either you appear to have gold or you don't, and the market pros either want to run you up or they don't. At least there is the reality of the drill cores, which in KXL's hands I do trust. Some dose of reality there, a comforting thing.

Not much has been made of the historic results on other KXL properties appearing to prove up well. I think that is exciting. It's been nearly 5 weeks since a NR, and I doubt we'll go another 4 weeks without a new one.

All the best to you all here / cedar
