Message: American Bulls

I hate to wade in here since I wil probably attract some abuse and you seem so sure of yourself regarding American Bulls but I think you are being a bit harsh.

In my opinion what American Bulls seems to do is find stocks that have gone up (or down) in price on better than average volume and with some analysis of what they have done at opening price, closing price, etc. It would be a sort of technical analysis. I don't have a problem with believing that this has some predictive value.

For example, if Kodiak were to suddenly go to let's say $1.85 (from $1.65) on higher than average volume, with the closing price being higher than the opening price, I think it might be reasonable to think Kodiak might be on an uptrend with some follow through the next day and so on until the uptrend is broken. Similarly if a stock goes from $1.85 to $1.65 in a day on volume it would be reasonable to think it may continue to downtrend the following day. American Bulls just highlights these possibilities. It is telling you what you already know. It is a heads up to the investor although certainly other factors would have to considered.

You are right that their predictions are to some extent self-fulfilling, since they take the beginning of the price trend as their "purchase" price and in the real world that generally doesn't happen.

You're just taking American Bulls a bit too seriously. It's just one small indicator among many. No one should base any investment decision solely on American Bulls but from time to time it can be a heads-up and there is a certain entertainment value there.

Oh well, JMHO.
