well portee i am not a trader i m really bad at it,

but once i buy shares , no matter the quantity there is a pattern for me that serves me real good to date.

i place an order on the spot whit a target price for a profit for part of this trade and run the balance as free share . this is the way i accumulate lots of good potential stock for 15 years , then the entire position have his final price target where i see it goes and i sale the whole position once it is reach. sometimes take 5 years to reach what i thought was a 36 months target thu but hey no cristal ball here.

at each years end i do analyze my portfolio and everything that is in my view a loss and whit no recuperation chances for 36 months i sold for tax losses

i agree for most investers to sale a position when this position is doing well is the tough part but profit is the investment co2 and nobody can ignore this.
