Message: Naked Shorters and The Rich People That Also get Hurt

I listened to the clip on naked shorting and other tactics used to scare the average investor. (ie: me!). Thanks to those who posted it and bringing it to my attention. I admit for awhile I somewhat shrugged it off as another excuse as to why the juniors are lagging, and just a myth. Now my mind is changed and I have questions floating around my head...

I can't help but wonder what is the point in investing in these juniors when this type of thing is happening. Doesn't naked shorting cause the shares outstanding to be further diluted, to a point where most of the value that the shareholder would see normally, is virtually wiped out? If that is the case, how can they retract these illegally traded/duplicated shares and who pays the price? This is the question raised in the clip. It seems there is no answer yet. I guess all I can do is ask for my share certificates so I will have to try to figure that out, since I invested with RBC online. Isn't that how most of use invest? online and without ever seeing a share certificate?

So as investors in these junior markets, we should be afraid to put our money into something that is so unstable until a resolution has been found and the perpetrators and criminals put in jail and this type of thing kept under control by our law-makers.

So...my question is....in this day and age, with the economy as-is, and naked shorters, as well as other criminal practices on-going in seemingly reputable brokerage houses...why should I trust my money in any investment other than dividend-paying large caps or something along those lines? I'm sure this thought is on the minds of any investor out there thinking of where to put there money and especially the deep pocketed investors who know how things work and what goes on...so the vicious cycle of depressing the juniors continues with people putting money elsewhere.

This naked shorting is really disturbing to me as everyone else. I would like to know how anyone here thinks that this will get resolved and ...when?

My only final thought that eases my mind somewhat is that there are some juniors out there with so much potential that the majors will be acquiring, or even some on the brink of being producers which can't be depressed for much longer, however even when they appreciate and we see some profits, I will be thinking that the profits have been skimmed by the snakes operating these brokerage houses.

I apologize if the thoughts I'm raising have been repeated a million times in this forum but I have a tight schedule which is why I'm not a frequent poster. I also feel that there are many out here alot more in the know so I like to read and try to learn on the sidelines...

Thanks for the great posts and bringing the issue to the board all!
