Personally, once the trading day is done I don't see the harm of a little "not specifically on point" chatter on the main board. Its kind of a judgement call.
When it comes to trading mechanism's as someone says "to each his own". Personally I use both the full service broker and on line trading. I have been with my broker for about 15 years and we have seen each other through thick and thin. She recently advised me that I am now her client of longest standing.
What I find with the full service broker is that I get access to I.P.O's that I might never have heard of, and once she has recommended an issue I take it as my "honorable" side of the transaction to conduct all business related to that stock through her or her colleagues.
Things that I surface myself however are a different issue and I see no problem playing with them through "on line trading" in both R.R.S.P. and non R.R.S.P. accounts. Its all just part of this game we amuse ourselves with in the hopes that we will have some positive outcomes and the extra pleasures that might flow from that.
Onwards and Upwards folks - tomorrows a new day and mayhaps might lead to that oft spoke of Vegas meeting.
