BC4FOREST, Good move. You are coming into this KXL with the right idea. Patience will be rewarded.
Kodiak Exploration is currently valued by the global stock market at c$234 million. (88.5 million shares times c$2.64 per share).
In stock market land, this is known as a "small cap." And $50 million, going into the current extensive drilling campaign, is in cash.
Given the amount of gold veins showing just on the Hercules portion of this very large property, and the drilling that has already shown excellent results, I find the current valuation laughably low.
This well-run little outfit has assembled a world-class gold district, one dotted with profitable old mines, yet unexploited by modern exporation techniques.
Of nearly equal importance, this is a district located in one of the safer mining jurisdictions on earth, and one that also is close to a good labor force, and is blessed by access to roads, power, and water.
I challenge anyone to tell me about another gold prospect with anywhere near this much high-grade strike length showing, other than the one "owned" by Aurelian Resources in Ecuador, which has unfortunately become a political football.
One of these days -- maybe before your kid graduates from college or your daughter gets married or your grandchildren make their first trip to Florida -- one or more major gold producers will acquire this exceptional property.
They will pay much, much more than c$234 million dollars. You will probably get a blue-chip producer stock for your Kodiak shares, and it will be accomplished at an exchange ratio that will make a real difference in the retirement lifestyle of a shareholder.
Waiting for the next news release can be fun. But it can also lead to a growing epidemic known as the dot-com itchy-fingers attention-deficit selling syndrome. Trade it if you want, I tell myself, but keep a core position.
Let the drilling and the scraping tell their slowly evolving story of buried wealth.
Michael
