Creating shareholder wealth by advancing gold projects through the exploration and mine development cycle.
Investor or speculator...??
As a long time shareholder of KXL I have followed all the BB's..have kept buying as the ocassion arose...have spoken both on board and by PM to many KXL share buyers or prospective KXL share buyers and would like to pass on what some of my observations over the many years of investing have imparted on my investing soul..
I have no formal financial training, but learned quickly by owning four incorporated companies over the years..all sold now,at a profit or a financial gain to me and the ability to read between the lines of a companys financial statements..It is a skill that one may want to learn to enhance ones investing success..
Like Warren Buffett, the Orical of Omaha, one must have the ability to see the big picture of the investment ,taking in all the factors involved in the investment that will drive the share price up or down...
I must take in so many factors that are pertinate to the investment and be able to have this knowledge stored away in the old noggin in order to make flash buy/sell decisions and the drop of a geologist..
(I make light of the fact that it was the news of Guzman going outside for a walk at 10,000 feet over the jungles of Indonesia,in the Bre-X scam..I happened to be listening to the Business news and online at the first news broadcast..)..
I smelled a rat and hit the sell button right away and made $75 grand on my BRE-X....
But it was so unbelievable and uncertain that when the stock fell from $24.00 ,after a 10:1 split, where I sold.. to $4.00...and the news was still flying as to whether there was gold there or not ,I bought 1000 shares just in case..
and watched it wither away..still not willing to sell just in case..
I still have those 1000 shares on the books..
So one must have many skills and the willing ness to ACT..once you decide..
Obviously ,I am never 100% right but 2 winners out of 10 will drive your portfolio higher..
Some of the info one must have is current politics..location..environmental conditions..management..share structure..cash on hand..EXPENSES...markets for your product..and not just instant markets, like the daily/hourly gold price..but the overall long term market conditions ..transportation and a thousand other facts one must eventually dig out to be a successful investor..and the big one is patience..From discovery hole to mine is 10 Years....
One must know and be satisfied with their profits on their investments and know when it is time to pull the sell trigger and move on..
Don't get into the long term trap of holding forever if your stock is down....Sell it..bight the bullet..get your money back to work for you and you will usually recover your loss and your over all portfolio bottom line will keep going up..
Don't be like me and not beleive my first inclination of a scam and sell ..and then go back in and buy back in..and watch the money go out the back door..Four Grand gone..Out of my port..because I didn't fully believe I was right the first time..
Don't second guess yourself..your first gut feeling is usually right..at least most of the time.
And look at the long range overall picture..If we apply these thoughts to KXL ..I come up with a tremendous investment grade buying opportunity..
We are in the very early stages of this company ...
This morning at 10 o'clock..we have traded 7,900 share and are down .07 to $2.20....
Am I worried....Nope...Couldn't care less...I should be buying more here but want to keep some dry powder for other little gems I like and are on the skids ,just from market conditions alone,,which are attributing the Share price to KXL also..
NO...By concentrating on the minute by minute share price,we tend to develop tunnel vision and loose site of the big picture..
Now that is all right and that is how speculators make their money but I'm an investor...
And the big one, PATIENCE must apply to you..if you have read all my ramblings this morning..Hope I can pass on a few good thoughts and help the younger investor..
I learned my investment skills through the School of Hard Knocks, and am allways interested in an easier faster way to success..
Good trading and investing..and even speculating too.
Go KXL SCHLONGS..!!!
