We simply do not know why Kodiak has staked in the Ring of Fire. To my eye, it doesn't look like they have a substantial claim there.

The geology, to some degree, and percentages of ore seem to be unique to the Ring of Fire, and we already know that Kodiak wants to have a three-pronged approach to their exploration: gold, nickel, uranium.

So it only makes sense that they are putting themselves in the action, perhaps for no other reason than to get a better understanding of the deposit, then maybe try to find their own, less remote one.

Let's not forget, Nigel Lees is with Hawk Uraniuim,, who has been in the Ring of Fire as a very early JV with Noront. Maybe he's been bending the ear of Kodiak as to information we do not currently possess?

At any rate, I don't see any problem with Kodiak arming themselves with more knowledge, if that is in fact what they are doing. Shareholders would be screaming bloody murder if the James Bay Lowlands become the premiere nickel district of the 21st century, and Kodiak couldn't even be bothered to investigate it a little further.

And as far as a mine not being up and running for 10 years, I say, who cares? Kodiak doesn't plan on mining.

Just some early, not fully caffeinated thoughts. Feel free to support or dismiss any opinions here.....
