I have noticed that they are always involved in market action,and also holding the stock in a trading range.Even trading among themselves and cross trades to keep the daily volume up.

When you look at market depth,the numbers seem small,then out of the blue a large sale will come and it will be bought up as soon as it appears.Most of the time its an all or nothing trade that was not evident in the depth.

If anything,it establishes a good volume,and helps with the technical breakdown of the stock.I also wonder if it lends credibilty to move to the big board if you have a less volatile stock that has consistently good volume.
