I am probably not the only one following On balance volume. At least I hope not.



I have trouble making Sharpcharts stick to this board in the format I want. So if it reverts to something other than OBV chart above and below the price, just make your own tweaks on the control panel down below.



Anyway, the OBV,provides a sense of whether smart money is accumulating or distributing a given stock by a simple means. On days when the stock rises, that volume is counted as a positive. On days when the stock declines, that volume is counted as a negative. You run a cumulative plus or minus number. SharpCharts handily turns this into a line chart.

The weekly looks better than the daily. You can switch the view back and forth.
