I heard Brian Maher attest to this in reply to a question posed at the Resource show in Calgary.
To loosely paraphrase him, yes, it's still important to move towards a getting a 43-101 model, etc, for an estimate of indicated resources, therefore giving the marketplace confidence that the deposit is very real, and not a repeat of Bre-X, BUT in the next breath he also says the first thing a interested major does is throw it out the window and have their own engineers, et al, draft up their own reports and estimates.
It will be interesting this spring and summer as we receive more results if a major begins taking a toehold in this play...if indeed this discovery proves to be part of a larger system as Kodiak seems to think, ( judging by their aggressive land claims) people will start calling me "Hey! You! Indoor face!" cuz I'll be unable to tear myself from the play by play to venture out in the open air....
