You sound like you're right on the money Tau.
I have my own speculation here but my take on the transactions were as follows:
Chornobay sold 55k shares (2 X 27.5K) and then "rebought" 55k shares for the exact same price. That sounds unlikely that these were actual buy/sell transactions. They may have only been recorded that way for legal purposes.
I think what may have happened is he actually transferred shares from one account to another, maybe into a self directed RRSP account as it is nearing tax time.
Mullen gave away 25k shares as a gift (possibly to his wife or charity or whoever). Once again, it being tax season and there may some nice tax implications that that "gift". He is Kodiak's accountant after all.
So in essence no real purchases have been made this round with the exception of Brian Maher exercising his options and purchasing 125k shares at .93.
That is still phenominal because he spent $116k of his own money to get those. Unless Brian is very well off (and even if he is) that's a pretty BIG vote of confidence IMO. The fact that he's the VP of exploration awards him bonus points on this round.
