I'm pretty sure the share price doesn't reflect the base metals or uranium prospects this company has.....gold is on everyones mind. However if you spin the companies off, they get out of the shadow of gold and achieve a value on their own merits.

In my estimaton, spinning of the Uranium and Base metals off would have nil effect on the gold divisions share price. So if you can build shareholder value this way, why shouldn't you?
