I spoke to IR today and this Sleeping Giant discovery is pretty far under the radar.  Apparently the drill hole went in early last year, so I am guessing it came from the Wilkinson Lake zone, where some of the intial high grade gold results came from.  I recall when I walked the property in October that there were numerous outcrops that appeared to have base metals and sulphides baked in, and I asked the geo.  He told me that they have sampled and came up with interesting numbers but the focus of the exploration was for gold.

Now I bring this up because the company drilled the Golden Gate zone at the west side of the property late last year, and the target there was for similar base metals and sulphide mineralization visible in outcrops.  So it certainly adds another dimension to the story if the company can step out and prove up a significant base metals deposit along with the great gold values.

One thing that is clear is Hercules is mineralized all to hell, and we got a lot of activity to look forward to this year, and possibly a few nice surprises rolled in.

IR is going to call me back when they have spoken to the project geos to get more info.  I cannot even find mention of this new zone in any of the old project description or maps.

Too bad, I was getting close to buying more KXL at $4...
