I'm not quite sure thats true. There is a lot of evidence to say that Kodiak plans on producing at least "some" of their proven resources. They have stated several times that they are looking for properties with proven 43-101 resources etc.

For example here is an excerpt taken from an NR (Jun 19th 07'); Page 1, 4th paragraph:

--"A key aspect of the company’s strategic growth plan is to add projects to each division that already have 43-101 compliant resources or are advanced projects that can be rapidly taken to the resource category. Ultimately, each division will have a series of projects in the development pipeline, accelerating company growth and allowing for sustainable development."--
This implies to me that they would like to produce, even if its for the purpose of gaining money on their own to further large projects (such as Hercules). This also potentially means dividens although they've also stated that the won't be dispercing dividends until they are making significant profit.

This other excerpt relates to the Hercules portion of the last insider report on the site (August of 07'); Page 13, Column 2, Paragraph 2 :

--"We believe the 4.1 million ounces of historic gold production in this area is just the tip of the iceberg, and that Kodiak’s ground has the potential to make the Company into a major gold producer."--

What people have to understand is Kodiak is positioning themselves to be a major player in the resource game. The fact that they've got management who have outlined a growth strategy means they aren't going anywhere for a while. We've got 3 divisions and 5 properties. Hercules is already looking like a winner and they've still got their R&D group constantly searching for other properties at the same time.
Not to mention Otish has massive potential and I believe they set aside 5 million for base metals exploration as well. So whether you're hanging in for the long run(where they are potentially producing) or you have an earlier exit strategy, I believe there will be MANY opportunites over the 1-3 years to sell for much higher than we are now. Thats just my humble opinion of course but I beleive it to be true.

Cheers.
Gamblor.
