The barricks and goldcorps DO have cost issues to produce a OZ of gold. Rising energy prices and now the dollar will make or break their operations profitability.

Gold price therefore will impact the bottom line as it offsets the rising costs of production.

The existing producing mines will have to increase production inhouse or through takeovers to keep shareholder value without cutting costs. KXL has no such issues as it is not a producer YET.

SP is going up with good news. good news is almost a given over the LONG haul. me thinks anyway.
