On 2/7/2013 Al Korelin interviewed Marshal Berol in which Mr. Berol mentioned Bre-x, and the infamous alleged gold fraud. Key to exposing and reporting that fraud, resulting in changing the industry's reporting and oversight regulations to protect investors, was our now PEM Board of Director, Collin Jones. . . who once said ". . . the first geologists allowed by Bre-X Minerals Ltd. to carry out independent tests on Busang knew something was fishy before seeing a single drill result. . . " Mr. Jones is the man who led on-site due diligence work for Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. It's the first time Freeport has allowed anyone to speak out about what was going on at the Indonesian property in the days before the lid was blown off the sensational gold fraud. Colin Jones, who was Freeport's vice-president of exploration in Indonesia, says his team was struck by serious discrepancies and concerns the moment they set foot in the jungle camp on March 1, 1997.
It is good to be reminded that we have as one of PEM's Directors the world reknowned Freeport McMoRan's former VP of exploration Collin Jones, a man who exposed Bre-X, in helpling to review, annalyze and direct all of PEM's matters, especially those related to all of PEM's drilling, exploring, geology, etc.
Thank you Mr. Jones for serving PEM and for helping to guide Mike O., Del Steiner, Christine Kopr, and all of PEM's staff, including our fellow shareholders. Your integrity has not gone unnoticed. You are very much appreciated, as are our other Board members. Perhaps Mr. Korelin can interview you some day, as well, to get your views on how we are doing, what we have, and where you think we are going.
