You are right in saying what quotation marks are generally used for. From both of my backgrounds quotation marks are sometimes used aside from traditional uses. They are sometimes used to enclose and or highlight a certain dialogue. They have been used to distinguish certain phrases. . . to highlight, to emphasise. This, as just shown, can cause some confusion, especially when coupled with quotes by others. The co-mingling of the two applications is ill advised and your point, and reaction, is well taken. In my posting I ended the quotation of the article by stating "end of article." Then proceeded with a paragraph of my own tieing my post's subject headline to the final paragraph followed by adding my own post name. Again, sorry for the confussion.
With that settled, I hope my original post "makes better sense" (emphasis added) and is seen for what was intended. Thanks for sensitizing me to your, and possibly other's, perception.
