I must admit, I had that same thought myself. (somebody wanting to get a PP at a low price)
I hold a number of PEM shares, but I did a little experiment this a.m.
I bought 10K shares (a relatively small amount) at open that I got for .29 CDN
I turned around and sold them again later this morning at .295 CDN
I was looking to see what the bids and asks did to the current bid and ask volumes.
My buy got "swallowed up" in that the number of shares on offer did not even budge.
My sell was more than reflected - the number of shares being bid went down about 3 times the volume I bought.
I made a (very small) profit on the deal, but was also prepared to take a small loss.
It was more an experiment to see what effect the buy and sell orders had on the overall picture.
What I saw was an eagerness to sell and a reluctance to buy on part of those at this price level.
This is backwards to what should be happening given the current situation with this company.
My conclusion: Somebody, with deeper pockets, has some interest in suppressing the price.
Who, why, and for how long are still open questions.
